In February of 2009, work commenced on the installation of a vertical closed loop geothermal system for a single family home in Wareham, MA. The geothermal energy is distributed via a Warmboard radiant floor heating system and ductwork for air conditioning. One WaterFurnace Synergy3D heat pump provides the heating and cooling energy for the home. The system was designed to meet the criteria for the 30% uncapped tax credit.
