In March of 2009, work commenced on the installation of a vertical closed loop geothermal system for a single family home in Needham, MA. Two WaterFurnace heat pumps provide the heating and cooling energy for the home. The system was designed to meet the criteria for the 30% uncapped tax credit.

The homeowner partnered with Free Green for the building plans for his home. Throughout the construction process, he kept an online blog to follow the installation of the geothermal system. Please check out his blog here.
